Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Therapeutic Journey Together is at 1198 Melody Lane, Suite 115, Roseville, CA, 95678.
How long are sessions?
Counseling sessions can be 50 minutes to 170 minutes in length.
If a couple needs more than typical hourly sessions, I offer a 15-hour intensive weekend. (See the Intensives page for more information.)
What are your counseling rates?
A typical counseling session for individuals and couples is 50 minutes for $195.
I also provide a 75-minute family counseling session for $295. Call or email to inquire about pricing for longer sessions.
All clients (individuals, couples, and families) can customize a session up to 170 minutes.
If a couple needs more than typical hourly sessions, I offer a 15-hour intensive weekend for $3,900 with a $500 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the session.
Do you take insurance?
While I am not in-network with any insurance companies, many plans through insurance include out-of-network coverage.
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network coverage, I will provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. (Your insurance plan will determine what they could reimburse you.)
I accept Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I do not currently provide services using a sliding scale. If the fee is not doable for you, I would be glad to provide you with resources and referrals, so you can find a therapist that might be a better fit financially.
What payment types do you accept?
I accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, HSAs, and FSAs.
How often are counseling sessions?
Session frequency depends on the journey of the client. Typically, I start counseling as weekly sessions. Then transitioning to every other week and eventually becoming monthly check-ins. If the client is in crisis, they might need to come more frequently.
What are your hours?
My weekly counseling sessions are Monday - Thursday (by appointment only) from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
My intensives are Friday - Sunday (by appointment only).
An intensive schedule would typically look like this:

Saturday & Sunday
9:00 am - 4:30 pm (1.5-hour lunch break)

What is an intensive?
Intensives are a 15-hour therapeutic approach designed for couples for three consecutive days. One 3-hour session on Friday, two 3-hour sessions on Saturday, and two 3-hour sessions on Sunday. With an hour-and-a-half lunch break on Saturday and Sunday.
An intensive is for couples who don't want to do those weekly sessions and/or need a jumpstart to a healthier relationship.
During an intensive, some of what you will learn throughout the weekend are communication skills, conflict cycles, intimacy styles, love languages, and compromise.
The intensive therapeutic journey will assist in helping you connect and grow in your relationship to create that marriage 2.0 even after an affair.
What is your cancellation policy?
50-minute counseling sessions have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel or modify 24 hours before your appointment, you will be charged the full amount of your session.
Sessions longer than 50-minutes have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel or modify 48 hours before your appointment, you will be charged the full amount of your session.
Intensives have a two-week cancellation policy. If you do not cancel or modify two weeks before your intensive, you will be charged the full amount of your session.
Is your office wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, my office located on Melody Lane is not wheelchair accessible. To access my office, you will have to use the stairs to get to the second floor. If you are unable to use the stairs or need an ADA-compliant site, please let me know ahead of our session, and I will make arrangements to meet in a downstairs office.
